50/50 Club
A fun way to help raise money for our group and also win great prizes!
What is the 50/50 Club?
The 3rd Brentwood 50/50 club is a fun and novel way of generating money for our equipment fund but at the same time entering into our lottery to win a prize every month.
Each ticket costs £1, and from that 50p is dontated to the group and will be used to renew our scouting equipment, and the remaining 50p goes into the prize fund.
Each month we will select the winners for the draw. Every month there is a first prize and second prize. The actual prize fund varies depending upon how many people have entered, so the more people who take part the bigger the prizes become.
How do I join?
To take part simply download our application form which contains all of the information you will need. then, either setup a standing-order via your telephone or online banking, or hand the bottom half of the form in to your bank.
If possible, please keep the top half of the form and return it to one of the leaders. This will help us to identify your entries each month. You can purchase as many tickets per month as you wish. Many of our “players” have 5 or 10 tickets, and other have just one or two.
How do I know if I have won?
We will publish the results of each monthly 50/50 club draw on our blog, and we will contact the winning members to let them know the good news!
What is the money used for?
The purpose of the 50/50 club is to enable us to maintain our group equipment. 50p from each ticket is saved and used to buy whatever is required by the group. This includes the recent purchase of our mess tent, and lots of other useful group equipment. The 50/50 club is the main way that we ensure that our beavers, cubs and scouts all have safe and up-to-date equipment to use. Please help us to make this work even more by joining.
